Loop & Convert ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable privacy law.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

Loop & Convert is the data controller for personal data processed through this platform. We are based in the Netherlands. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at loopandconvert@gmail.com.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data only for the purposes listed above. Specifically:

To provide, operate, and improve the Loop & Convert platform.
To send you account-related emails (login links, password resets, usage alerts).
To respond to support requests.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your documents or analyses to train AI models.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored within the European Union. We use Supabase as our database and authentication provider. Supabase stores data on EU-based infrastructure (AWS eu-central-1). Their privacy commitments can be found at supabase.com/privacy.

AI analysis is powered by the Anthropic Claude API. Documents are sent to Anthropic's API for processing and are not retained by Anthropic beyond the duration of the API call.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account:

Your personal data and uploaded documents are deleted within 30 days.
You may request immediate deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).
Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as we only use strictly necessary cookies.

7. Third-Party Processors

We share your data only with the following trusted processors, all bound by data processing agreements:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (EU)
Anthropic — AI analysis of uploaded contract text (USA, subject to SCCs)

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are based in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at loopandconvert@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

End-to-end encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS).
Row-level security policies on our database.
Access controls limiting who can view client data.

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email before significant changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
